Talk to Yourself (nicely)


You have to talk to yourself...and you have to do it nicely.

At first when I talk about talking to yourself, people think that it is nuts, but the reality of the situation is we talk to ourselves constantly (through our thoughts) and most of us talk to ourselves terribly. We allow ourselves to hear lies or bad things through the way in which we speak to ourselves..for example, we say things like: “I feel anxious. I’m sick. I don’t feel good. I am crazy...etc. etc. etc.” Analyze your inner conversations

right now. What do you tell yourself (do you realize you are constructing your own reality based on these words).

When you are sucked in the black hole of anxiety, I know it may seem i hard to stop that negative self talk---but you can and you will and the day you decide to do that is the day that you make a huge difference in your healing.

One morning I was laying in bed with my stomach-ache (I’m pretty sure it was around day 18 or 19 of pure raw pain in my poor little belly) and I thought, “I’m going to talk to my stomach.” And I did. Over and over again I told my stomach that I loved it. I also repeated this phrase literally over 100 times:

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

My stomach has the perfect amount of serotonin in it.

And guess what….within in a few hours, it did. The stomach-ache went away, and any time when it started to bring it’s presence back in my life, I just repeated my mantra and it worked every time.

So now, I analyze myself when I’m feeling down or nervous or in any physical or mental or emotional pain...and I talk to myself in a way that makes it all go away. How does this work?

Well, we are vibration and vibrations will transform based upon other vibrations (just as the plant medicine works). The key with this is you have to say your mantra A LOT. You have to invite this new vibration into your energy fields, in to your body, in to your mind...and you have to let it overpower the negative vibrations that have lived there for so long. By being a broken record, you actually start to believe what you say (this is an age-old teaching technique I learned when I was in college as an education major: people learn through repetition) So you have to repeat youreslf over and over again. I know this may seem like a “task” but the reality of the situation is when you are in this state of mind, you have to put in the work (it’s easier to stay in old habits.) You have to be stronger than other habits---you have STEP UP and create new habits. Plus, think about it logically, What else are you going to do when you don’t feel like you’ve got the strength to do anything? Just sit there and talk to your self positively---you don’t even need to get out from under the covers.
