Prerequisites: No previous yoga teacher certification or Stand Up Paddleboard or SUP Yoga experience is need. Although this background knowledge is helpful, it is not a requirement. You don't even need to know how to swim to take this training. Regardless of your level of understanding, the training is presented as if all students are blank slates to this style of yoga.  The focal point is teaching you how to understand how to do yoga on a SUP board and feel its benefits;  for only from this place, can we help heal others.

Special Notes: SUP Yoga teaches balance in a deeply symbolic and literal way. The water element is that which represents emotions: to be able to physically conjure strength and balance on the SUP board, you are teaching your subconscious mind how to balance the waters of emotions that exist within you, as humans are roughly 90 percent water. This style of yoga will teach you how to balance your emotions in a fun way.

History: SUP Yoga is a modern yoga style based on ancient yoga practices. It was founded in Southern California less than a few decades ago. The field is new and the style is demand, specifically in Southern California where many locala and visitors can't wait to try yoga on a Stand Up Paddle Board. Lakes, oceans, and bays throughout the world are waiting for SUP Yoga pioneers to come bring this style to their town or city.

Networking Connection:

Upon graduation, you will be connected with a SUP Yoga rental shop in San Diego in which you can rent boards for 90% their rental rate: this connection and deal is only offered to Shawna's graduates.  Shawna is also highly connected in the San Diego Yoga scene and has a number of  connections and business leads to share with you to assist you in building your business .
